Alone is an Italian municipality in the autonomous region of Aosta Valley .

Alone has 209 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) and is 1190 m above sea level. M. near the pass road to the Great St. Bernhard in the vallée du Grand-Saint-Bernard . This is a side valley of the Aosta Valley.

Alone consists of the districts (French hameaux ) Ayez, Allamanaz, Allérod, Bruson, Chanté, Chaveroulaz, Chez-Norat, Clavel, Condemine, Dayllon, Frein, Godioz, Martinet, Plan-de-Clavel (chef-lieu), Vallettaz and Ville.

In the district of Ayez there is a house from the 15th century under monument protection, which is made of natural stone with almost no mortar.

In the time of fascism , the village had the Italianized name Alleno .

Neighboring municipalities are Doues , Étroubles and Gignod .
