Pro12 2016/17

Pro 14 2017/18 marks the 18th season of the international rugby union championship Pro14 (also called Guinness Pro 14 for sponsorship reasons ). It comprised 21 game days and began on September 1, 2017. It involved four teams each from Ireland and Wales and two teams each from Italy and Scotland . For the first time two teams from South Africa took part. The 14 teams were divided into two conferences, with each team playing 20 games: twice (one leg and one leg) against all teams in their conference, once against the teams in the other conference, and once again against a team from their country. The top three teams from each conference qualified for the finals. The conference winners played straight to the semi-finals, while the second and third placed went to the quarter-finals. The final took place on May 26, 2018 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin . The defending champion was the Welsh team Scarlets .
