Przebędowo Słupskie

Przebędowo Słupskie (German Prebendow ) is a place near Słupsk ( Stolp ) in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship . He belongs to the rural community Główczyce ( Glowitz ) in the powiat Słupski .

Geographical location

The small village is in Western Pomerania . about 15 kilometers south of Lake Leba (Łebsko) . Neighboring villages are Główczyce (Glowitz) in the west, Pobłocie (Poblotz) in the northeast and Stowięcino (Stojentin) in the south.

history

The village of Prebendow, formerly called Prebentow , belonged to the Stolp district in the Prussian province of Pomerania before 1945 and should not be confused with the village of Prebendow of the same name, further east, about six kilometers west of the Lantow Lake, which belonged to the Lauenburg district and the a train station there still owes its name to this day.

The village used to be an estate district. Around 1784 in Prebendow there were two outbuildings, four cottages , a schoolmaster and a total of 18 fireplaces (households).

The region was occupied by the Red Army in March 1945 and placed under Polish administration after the end of World War II . The residential buildings were then taken over by Poland.

Today the place has about 60 inhabitants.

The villagers before 1945 were Protestant. Prebendow was parish in Stojentin ( Stowięcino ).
