Będziechowo (German Bandsechow ) is a village in the powiat Słupski ( Stolp district ) in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

Będziechowo is located in Western Pomerania , about seven kilometers northeast of Główczyce ( Glowitz ), 22 kilometers northeast of Słupsk ( Stolp ) and 91 kilometers west of the voivodship capital Gdansk .

history

The former manor Banskow , Bansekow or Bandsechow was an aristocratic fief in older times, which had belonged to the so-called Schmolsinschen estates of the ducal house. Around 1784 there was a farm in Bandsechow, on the Feldmark there was a water mill, seven farmers, eight cottagers , a forge and a total of 26 households. In the Lupow were salmon and eels caught.

Before the end of World War II was Bandsechow office of the administrative district Bandsechow in county Stolp , administrative region of Pomerania , the province of Pomerania . In 1925 there were 62 residential buildings on the 879 hectare parish area. In 1939 there were 78 households in Bandsechow with a total of 305 inhabitants.

Towards the end of the Second World War, the region was occupied by the Red Army on March 9, 1945 as a result of the war and part of Poland. From the end of June 1945, Poles took over houses and farms and the villagers were driven out . 119 villagers displaced from Bandsechow in the Federal Republic of Germany and 131 in the GDR were later identified. Bandsechow was renamed Będziechowo . In 2008 the village had 141 inhabitants.
