QantasLink is a brand name of the Australian airline Qantas Airways for regional flights within Australia, under whose corporate identity several regional airlines operate.
history
Before QantasLink was founded in 2002, several Qantas Airways subsidiaries operated under their own names. In 2002 , a joint trademark was developed for the regional subsidiaries such as Air Link , Sunstate Airlines , Eastern Australia Airlines and Southern Australia Airlines . For a short time, QantasLink took over some branch routes from Qantas with the Boeing 717-200 of Impulse Airlines, which was taken over by Qantas.
After Qantas founded the low-cost airline Jetstar Airways , the planes and routes were taken over by Jetstar. In 2005/06, eight Boeing 717-200s were returned to QantasLink as Jetstar received new Airbus A320-200s .
The airlines Eastern Australia Airlines , Sunstate Airlines and Cobham Aviation Services Australia are now affiliated with the QantasLink brand .
Regional link
Regional Link is a regional service network in Australia and an affiliate member of QantasLink. It carries out franchise activities for several small regional airlines. Regional Link takes over their services, such as reservations, marketing, ground handling and on- board catering , but the affiliated companies still fly under their own names and colors. Members are for example Airnorth and Alliance Airlines .

The national route network offered by QantasLink is operated by Eastern Australia Airlines , Sunstate Airlines , Cobham Aviation Services Australia and Alliance Airlines .
