Cobham Aviation Services Australia (previously National Jet Systems ) is an Australian airline based in Adelaide and based at Adelaide Airport . history

Cobham Aviation was founded under the name National Jet Systems in 1989 and began flight operations on July 1, 1990. Soon, scheduled services were flown on behalf of Australian Airlines under the name Airlink . Mainly holiday resorts in the north of Australia were flown to with a BAe 146 fleet .

After the takeover of Australian Airlines by Qantas , the route network was retained and in 2005 flight operations began under the QantasLink brand with the Boeing 717-200 . This contract initially ran until 2012 and was initially extended to 2018. In 2016, the contract was again extended for ten years, i.e. until 2026.Template: future / in 5 years

In 2009 National Jet Systems was renamed Cobham Aviation Services Australia .

The company also owns the subsidiary National Jet Express ( Jetex for short ), which operates cargo flights for Australian Air Express , and Surveillance Australia , which operates for the Border Protection Command . Another subsidiary called Fleet Support , which operated for the Royal Australian Navy , ceased operations in 1996.
