Embraer 190
The Embraer E-190 is an extended version of the Embraer E-170 with a capacity between 94 and 114 passengers . 90% of the components have been adopted from the E-170, so the certification for the drive of the E-170 and the E-190 is the same. It has larger wings and more powerful General Electric GE-CF34-10E turbofan engines for greater lifting capacity and improved performance.
The original name was ERJ-190 ( Embraer Regional Jetliner ), which was later changed to E-190 in order to avoid these models being only associated with regional aviation. With its 100 seats and advanced avionics , it is similar to aircraft such as the Boeing 717-200 , Boeing 737-600 , Airbus A318-100 , A220 and the Bombardier CRJ900 / CRJ1000 .
Embraer 195
The Embraer 195 (actually 190-200) is a stretched version of the Embraer 190-100 type. Another fuselage segment was added in front of and behind the wings . This variant completed its first flight on December 7, 2004. This type received certification from the Brazilian Aviation Authority (ANAC) on June 30, 2006. Even before the first aircraft was delivered, Embraer announced a further variant in January 2005. The 195 AR (Advanced Range) is said to have a higher maximum permitted take-off and landing weight through structural reinforcements of the fuselage and changes to the wings and thus a range up to 300 nautical miles higher .
In the Embraer 195, there is space for 108 passengers in two-class seating, and up to 126 in narrower seating. In 2011, 110 firm orders and 36 options were available; a large part of it for Deutsche Lufthansa . Alternative offers on the regional aircraft market are the Airbus A318 , Boeing 717 , Bombardier CRJ900 and Sukhoi Superjet 100/95 .
The first machine of this type was delivered to the British airline Flybe on September 1, 2006 . The German Lufthansa AG was awarded for its 100 per cent subsidiary Air Dolomiti in 2009 five of these aircraft with a seating for 116 passengers. The Lufthansa franchisee Augsburg Airways received another five identical aircraft and the in-house Lufthansa CityLine also operated some of these aircraft, which, however , were handed over to Austrian Airlines from the end of 2015 . From January 4, 2016 (first flight) until the end of 2017, AUA replaced its 21-year-old Fokker fleet (80 to 100-seater), all of which were sold to the Australian aircraft charter company Alliance Aviation Services Limited for a total of 14 million euros . The 120-seater E195 should be the most cost-effective aircraft type in the market segment in 2016 and require 18% less fuel per seat than the Fokker.
Embraer Lineage 1000
On May 2, 2006, Embraer announced plans to develop a business jet based on the 190 series that would have a significantly longer range and enable 19 passengers to travel in luxury. The 190 series received additional approval from EASA and ANAC in December 2008 and from the FAA on January 9, 2009. The equipment of the aircraft is similar to that of other company aircraft such as the Global 5000 or an A318ACJ . The jet is quieter than the Boeing 737BBJ due to its smaller engines and can therefore also fly to airports that are not approved for other jets due to their higher noise emissions. The Embraer Lineage 1000 also has a shorter runway than comparable aircraft. One advantage of this type compared to pure business aircraft types is that already trained Embraer pilots can switch to it without any major problems, as its cockpit is similar to that of the other variants in the E-Jet series.
Project history
The project started on June 14, 1999 in Paris , the first flight took place in March 2004.
In September 2005 the machine was certified by the Federal Aviation Administration . The first buyer was the low-cost airline JetBlue Airways , which ordered more than 100 units with an option for an additional 100 and is now the largest operator of this model.
The Ecuadorian airline Tame and the Panamanian airline Copa Airlines became the first South American airline to acquire the model, followed by the Colombian AeroRepública and the Salvadoran Taca , which announced the acquisition of 11 copies in October 2007.
In October 2007, 99 machines were delivered and a further 391 (plus 432 purchase options) ordered.
In December 2010, Alitalia decided to order 20 units (including 15 E-175s) to expand its fleet, increasing the number of jets for regional traffic. This was not known after Alitalia was privatized in CAI.
The tactical transport aircraft KC-390 for the Força Aérea Brasileira was developed on the basis of the E-190.
