The Qatar Stars League 2015/16 was the 42nd season of the highest Qatari football league in men's football. The season started on September 11, 2015 and ended on April 16, 2016. Al-Rayyan SC and al-Mesaimeer SC were promoted from the Qatargas League . The defending champion was Lekhwiya .
The newcomer al-Rayyan SC became champions for the eighth time and qualified for the AFC Champions League 2017 . al-Jaish as league runner-up and Lekhwiya as cup winner started qualifying for the Champions League .
The Qatar SC and the other newcomer al-Mesaimeer SC were relegated to the Qatargas League.
