Raffaele "Ralph" Intranuovo (born December 11, 1973 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a former Italian - Canadian ice hockey player who has played in the National Hockey League for the Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Maple Leafs, among others .

Career

The Italo-Canadian Intranuovo played the first professional games for Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League . From 1993 he played in the American Hockey League , but also 19 games for the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League . These had selected him in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft at position 96 in the fourth round. In the 1996/97 season he was given to the Toronto Maple Leafs , where he played three games in the best league in the world. He was then on the ice for two years in the International Hockey League before the Adler Mannheim brought him into the German Ice Hockey League . After a year with the eagles, he switched to eating mosquitoes for two years . In the 2002/03 season he was Austrian champion with the EHC Black Wings Linz .

On the other hand, the 2003/04 season went badly at the same club when he was injured for a long time. Then he left the Alps in the direction of the Sauerland . At the Iserlohn Roosters he only turned up with nine goals in the second half of the season. The contract was renewed and in the next 2005/06 season he was the Roosters' top scorer. In the 2006/07 season , Intranuovo moved to the Austrian record champions EC KAC back in the Alpine republic, where he played 24 games. In February 2007, the Kölner Haie signed him until the end of the season. He spent the 2007/08 season at HDD Olimpija Ljubljana in the Austrian Ice Hockey League , where he stayed the next year. In 2009 he signed a contract with the Italian first division club Asiago Hockey . In the summer of 2011 he moved to the second Italian division , where the Italian-Canadian signed 84 with EV Bozen . During the 2011/12 season he returned to Asiago Hockey in the A1 series. For the 2012/13 season Intranuovo was signed by HC Valpellice .
