society

Tórgarð came in 1995 for the second team of B36 Tórshavn for the first time in 1995 in the away game against B71 Sandur II when he came on in the 88th minute for Kaj Niclasen . The game in the third division was lost with 1: 3. In 1996 he completed the full game against Skála ÍF in the first leg for promotion to the second division, which ended 2-2. In the second leg, which B36 II won 1-0, he was only on the bench. In the following year, two league appearances followed in the 2nd Deild for the second team. It was not until 2000 that further appearances in the second division followed. In 2001 he was used for the first time for the first team. He played two group games in the cup as well as a game in the first division in the 2-0 success at B68 Toftir and can therefore count himself to the cup winners and championship team at the time, which also included Egil á Bø , Jákup á Borg , Jens Kristian Hansen , Heðin á Lakjuni , John Petersen and Pól Thorsteinsson . At the beginning of the 2002 season he was used again in the cup, played the next games for the second team and then rose to the goalkeeper for the first team, where he replaced Tróndur Vatnhamar as such. He lost this position to him again in the next season.

In 2005 Tórgarð moved to AB Argir . There he played the first round game in the cup and the first five games in the second division. Then the first division club EB / Streymur signed him , for which he completed the remaining games of the season and thus replaced the injured Gunnar á Steig , the following year he was elected goalkeeper of the year. In 2007 he celebrated his first cup win with EB / Streymur with a 4: 3 win against HB Tórshavn , which he repeated the following year with a 3: 2 win against B36 Tórshavn , as well as the double with the championship this year to be celebrated. The team at that time included Egil á Bø, Arnbjørn Theodor Hansen and Mikkjal Thomassen . 2009 Tórgarð fell out due to a knee injury for more than half of the season, Gunnar á Steig replaced him in goal. At the end of the season Tórgarð returned to his traditional position. 2010 succeeded with a 1-0 win in the final against ÍF Fuglafjørður the third cup triumph in four years. The following year, the Faroese champions HB Tórshavn were defeated 2-0 in the game for the Supercup . EB / Streymur was able to win the cup final again in 2011 in the new edition of the previous year's final 3-0 against ÍF Fuglafjørður. At the end of the year Tórgarð was voted Goalkeeper of the Year for the second time. In 2012, the success in the Supercup was repeated with a 2-1 win against previous year's champions B36 Tórshavn, and Tórgarð was able to celebrate his third championship alongside Egil á Bø, Jónhard Frederiksberg and Arnbjørn Theodor Hansen. The 2013 cup final, however, was lost 2-0 to Víkingur Gøta . In the 2015 season he only played once for the second team in the 2nd Deild , for the first team he played his last two games in the 1st Deild in 2016 .

European Cup

Tórgarð has 15 games in the European Cup. He played his first game in 2002/03 for B36 Tórshavn in the first qualifying round for the Champions League against Torpedo Kutaisi . After a 2: 5 defeat in the first leg, the second leg was also lost 0: 1, which meant the elimination. In the 1: 3 second leg defeat in the second qualifying round for the Champions League 2013/14 against Dinamo Tiflis , he played his last European Cup game, after the 1: 6 in the first leg this meant leaving the competition.

National team

Tórgarð played three times for the national team . On August 20, 2008, he made his debut in the friendly against Portugal in Aveiro, along with Egil á Bø , Leif Niclasen , Bogi Løkin and Andreas Olsen , when he came on for Jákup Mikkelsen at half time when the score was 0: 1 . The game was lost 5-0. Only in September 2011 he came to his next games due to the failures of Gunnar Nielsen and Jákup Mikkelsen. The last mission was on September 6, 2012. The European Championship qualifier against Serbia was lost 3-1 in Belgrade .
