Club career

Hansen has played for EB / Streymur since his youth . He made his debut for the second team on the second day of the 2003 season in a 1-0 away win against B36 Tórshavn III in the third division. Hansen scored the winning goal and was replaced in the 86th minute for Leif Niclasen . In his first season he was one of the regular players of the second team and also played the relegation games for promotion to the second division against LÍF Leirvík , which ended 1: 1 and 1: 3, with which the team remained in the third division. On the 18th matchday of the 2004 season he made his debut in the first division in the 0-1 against Skála ÍF when he came on in the 61st minute for Fróði Clementsen . The following year Hansen completed only five games for the first and second team. His breakthrough came in 2006, where he was now one of the regular players in the first team and was directly voted "Young Player of the Year". He scored the first league goal on matchday nine in a 5-0 away win against VB / Sumba , when Hansen scored in the final minute. In 2007 he missed the first third of the season due to a broken foot. This season, however, he managed with his team the first cup victory by a 4: 3 against HB Tórshavn , with Hansen scored the 3: 0. A year later, the championship and cup double followed . In the cup final, he scored two goals in a 3-2 win over B36 Tórshavn , and Hansen was also named top scorer in the first division and “Player of the Season” with 20 goals. His teammates this year included Egil á Bø and Mikkjal Thomassen . In 2010, Hansen and Christian Høgni Jacobsen were again top scorer and scored 22 goals, and EB / Streymur achieved their third cup victory in the last four years. This time ÍF Fuglafjørður was defeated 1-0.

In the game for the Supercup against Faroese champions HB Tórshavn, Hansen scored both goals for a 2-0 victory. He also met twice in the new edition of the cup final from last year against ÍF Fuglafjørður , which EB / Streymur won 3-0. In 2012 Hansen also contributed to the renewed success in the Supercup when he scored the winning goal in stoppage time to make it 2-1 against last year's champions B36 Tórshavn. In addition, the championship could again be celebrated alongside Egil á Bø and Jónhard Frederiksberg . The cup final was lost on penalties to Víkingur Gøta , and Hansen missed the decisive penalty. In 2013 the team lost 2-0 in the Víkingur Gøta cup final. In April, Hansen was out for several weeks due to a knee injury and was therefore only able to play just under half of all league games. After the 2014 season, Hansen moved to HB Tórshavn. In 2017 he returned to the EB / Streymur.

With 152 goals, Hansen is behind Klæmint Olsen and Jákup á Borg in third place among the most successful goal scorers in the Faroese first division (as of the end of 2019).
