Renegades -

Renegades is the fourth music album by the crossover band Rage Against the Machine and contains only cover pieces.

It is currently the last studio album of the band, which, after de la Rocha left them, formed into Audioslave with Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell . When the album was released on December 3, 2000, the singer had already left the band. It received mostly good reviews. Three years later they released their live album Live at the Grand Olympic Auditorium

Cover and booklet

Robert Indiana's work "Love", which the album cover was based on

The cover pays homage to the pop art artist Robert Indiana and his work "LOVE". There are four different versions: two with red text and a black-blue or black-green background and two with black text and a red-blue or red-green background.

The booklet also includes a quote from Josh Koppel , who takes a critical look at the importance of money in today's society and can be seen with the photo of a 1 dollar note on which " YOU ARE NOT A SLAVE " (in German: " YOU ARE NOT A SLAVE ") stands.
