Ressen ( Rjasne in Lower Sorbian ) is an inhabited part of the municipality of Ressen-Zaue , a district of the municipality of Schwielochsee in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg .

location

Ressen is located in Lower Lusatia about 14 kilometers northwest of the city of Lieberose and about 24 kilometers northeast of Lübben . Surrounding villages are of the community Dive belonging district Mittweide in the north, Zaue in the Northeast, Speichrow the east, Jessern the southeast, Goyatz in the south, Guhlen in the southwest, as well as to the municipality Märkische Heide belonging districts Leibchel the west and Schuhlen in the northwest.

Ressen is west of the Schwielochsee . The state road 442 and the county road 6112 run through the village. The federal road 87 from Lübben to Beeskow is about three kilometers to the west and the federal road 320 about four kilometers south of the town.

history

Ressen was first mentioned in a document in 1519 as part of the state rule of Groß Leuthen . In 1850 there were 294 inhabitants in 28 houses in Ressen. In addition, two watermills were mentioned in the village. Around 1865, a peat master's house was also mentioned in Ressen. The village belongs to the parish of Zaue.

After the Congress of Vienna , Ressen came to the Kingdom of Prussia as part of Niederlausitz . On July 25, 1952, the community was assigned to the newly formed Lübben district in the Cottbus district . On December 15, 1966, Ressen merged with the neighboring village of Zaue to form the new municipality of Ressen-Zaue . After the reunification , this community was in the Lübben district in Brandenburg . On October 1, 1992, Ressen-Zaue joined the Lieberose / Oberspreewald office . After the district reform in Brandenburg on December 6, 1993 , the community finally came to the newly formed district of Dahme-Spreewald . On October 26, 2003, Ressen-Zaue was merged with the communities of Goyatz , Jessern , Lamsfeld-Groß Liebitz , Mochow and Speichrow to form the new community of Schwielochsee .
