Tauche ( Tuchow in Lower Sorbian ) is a large, non-governmental municipality in the southwest of the Oder-Spree district in Brandenburg .

geography

The municipality is located on both sides of the Spree between Schwielochsee and Unterspreewald in an area rich in forests and lakes. The districts north of the Spree with the eponymous place Tauche are located on the Beeskower Platte . The community is only a few kilometers from the city of Beeskow . It borders in the north on the office Scharmützelsee and the municipality Rietz-Neuendorf , in the northeast on the non-office town Beeskow, in the east on the office-free city Friedland , in the south on the office Lieberose / Oberspreewald ( district of Dahme-Spreewald ), in the southwest the unofficial community Märkische Heide (also district Dahme-Spreewald) and in the west to the unofficial city of Storkow (Mark) .

Community structure

According to its main statute, the municipality is divided into the following districts and residential areas (source for the Sorbian names):

history

Tauche and its current districts have belonged to the Teltow-Storkow district since 1816 , to the Beeskow-Storkow district in the Prussian province of Brandenburg from 1836, and to the Beeskow district in the GDR district of Frankfurt (Oder) from 1952 . Since 1993 they have been located in the Oder-Spree district of Brandenburg.

Office diving

In 1992 the Tauche / Trebatsch office was founded, initially consisting of eight communities in what was then the Beeskow district , four more were assigned to the office by ministerial resolution. In 1994 the Tauche / Trebatsch office was renamed Tauche Office . On December 31, 2001, the communities of Briescht, Falkenberg, Giesensdorf, Görsdorf bei Beeskow, Kossenblatt, Lindenberg, Mittweide, Ranzig, Tauche, Trebatsch and Werder merged to form the new community of Tauche. On October 26, 2003, Stremmen was the last official municipality to be incorporated into Tauche by law. The Tauche office was dissolved and the Tauche community free. The municipal area is identical to that of the Tauche Office.
