Neißemünde is a municipality in southeast Brandenburg in the Oder-Spree district . The community belongs to the Neuzelle office with its seat in Neuzelle .
geography
At the district of Ratzdorf the Neisse flows into the Oder . Both rivers have formed the border between Germany and Poland here since 1945 .
Community structure
According to its main statute, the municipality consists of the following districts:
- Breslack ( Lower Sorbian Brjazowy Ług )
- Coschen (Kóšyna)
- Ratzdorf (Radšow)
- Wellmitz (Wjelmice)
In addition, there are the living spaces Abbau Juntschen, Breslacker Mühle, Buderoser Mühle, Fuhrmannsruh, Gut Breslack, Breslack Colony, Wellmitz Estate, Pfaffenschänke and Schießhaus.
history
Breslack, Coschen, Ratzdorf and Wellmitz belonged to the Guben district in the province of Brandenburg since 1817 and to the Eisenhüttenstadt-Land district in the GDR district of Frankfurt (Oder) from 1952 . Since 1993, the places have been in the Oder-Spree district of Brandenburg.
The municipality of Neißemünde was formed on December 31, 2001 through the merger of the four formerly independent municipalities, the current four districts.

- Federal highway 112 , which connects Eisenhüttenstadt with Guben , runs through the municipality . The next motorway junction is Frankfurt (Oder) -Mitte on the federal motorway 12 Frankfurt (Oder) - Berlin about 30 km away.
- The Wellmitz and Coschen stops on the Lower Silesian-Märkische Railway are located between Neuzelle and Guben in the municipality . They are served by the regional train line RB 11 Frankfurt (Oder) - Cottbus .
- In Ratzdorf there is a pier for passenger shipping on the Oder.
