Robert M. Anderson

Robert Moon Anderson ( December 10, 1824September 17, 1878 ) was an American politician . Between 1856 and 1858 he was lieutenant governor of the state of California .

The sources on Robert Anderson are very poor. Neither his place of birth nor his place of death have been recorded. What is certain is that he lived in California in the 1850s and was a member of the American Party . In 1851 he was elected Lieutenant Governor of California, alongside John Neely Johnson . He held this office between 1856 and 1858. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . After the end of his time as Lieutenant Governor, his track is lost again. The sources only report that he died on September 17, 1878.
