John B. Reddick
John B. Reddick (born April 8, 1845 in Scioto County , Ohio , † September 16, 1895 in Calaveras County , California ) was an American politician . Between 1891 and 1895 he was lieutenant governor of the state of California.
Career
Nothing is known about John Reddick's youth and schooling. He came to California at an unknown time, where he embarked on a political career as a member of the Republican Party . Between 1875 and 1877 and again from 1881 to 1883 he was a member of the California State Assembly . In the presidential election of 1884 he was one of the Republican electors.
In 1890, Reddick was elected Lieutenant Governor of California alongside Henry Markham . He held this office between 1891 and 1895. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . He died in Calaveras County on September 16, 1895.
