Rudolf von der Schulenburg
Rudolf Wilhelm von der Schulenburg (born July 29, 1860 on Gut Ramstedt, Wolmirstedt district , Province of Saxony ; † January 13, 1930 on Gut Schricke, Wolmirstedt district) was a lawyer , royal Prussian President and politician.
family
He came from the Altmark noble family Schulenburg , first mentioned there in 1237, and was the son of the royal Prussian chamberlain and legation counselor Werner von der Schulenburg (1823-1889), landlord on Ramstedt (bought in 1857), and Amalie (Amy) baroness von Maltzahn (1830–1930).
Schulenburg married on January 8, 1896 at Gut Nordhausen near Mohrin ( Königsberg district , Neumark ) Maria von Gerlach (* December 20, 1865 at Rohrbeck estate , Königsberg district; † October 13, 1931 at Schricke estate, Wolmirstedt district ), the daughter of royal Prussian district administrator Bernd von Gerlach , royal Prussian major and knighthood councilor , squire of Nordhausen and 1/3 Rohrbeck, and Maria Countess von Kanitz . The couple had several children:

- Bernd Hans Ellard Rudolf (born March 7, 1900)
- Elisabeth Marie Amalie Sophie (born December 11, 1902)
Life
Rudolf attended the Ilfeld convent school and studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin . Since 1879 he was a member of the Corps Saxonia Göttingen .
He began his career in 1882 as a court trainee in Naumburg , Saxony . In 1886 he moved to Magdeburg as a government trainee , then to Opole in Upper Silesia . In 1889 he became a government assessor in Potsdam and Magdeburg. Since 1894 district administrator of the district of Oschersleben , he became senior president in Potsdam in 1902 and in 1903 as a real. Go Higher Government Council President of Potsdam. Finally, he was senior president in the province of Brandenburg (1914-1917) and the province of Saxony (1917-1919). As such, he was a member of the Prussian mansion from 1914 to 1918 .
Schulenburg was the landlord of Ramstedt and Schricke. The Schulenburg Park garden monument in Berlin-Neukölln is named after him.
