Rufat Dadashov ( Azerbaijani Rüfət Oleq oğlu Dadaşov , also Rufat Dadaschow ; born September 29, 1991 in Baku , Azerbaijani SSR , Soviet Union ) is an Azerbaijani football player . The striker stands at US USL - Franchise Phoenix Rising under contract and is Azerbaijani national team.

family

Dadashov was born in Baku a few weeks before Azerbaijan gained independence from the Soviet Union . The family moved to Germany when he was a child . His parents are former competitive athletes, his younger brother Renat (* 1999) is also a soccer player and Azerbaijani national player.

Career

In the club

The 1.89 m tall striker began playing football at FV Biebrich 02 from the Hessian capital Wiesbaden at the age of six . In the A-youth he went to Mainz to SV Gonsenheim . In the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons he played with the men's team in the fifth-class Oberliga Südwest and scored 28 goals in 63 games.

For the 2012/13 season , Dadashov moved to the second team of 1. FC Kaiserslautern , for which he never met in 18 games in his first season in the fourth-class Regionalliga Südwest . In the 2013/14 season he scored five goals in 23 appearances.

For the 2014/15 season , Dadashov was drawn to league rivals SVN Zweibrücken , for whom he scored two goals in five regional league appearances. Just two months later he moved on to 1. FC Saarbrücken , where he ended up with 13 appearances and one goal. After the season he joined VfB Germania Halberstadt , for which he scored ten goals in 28 appearances in the Regionalliga Nordost in 2015/16 . At the beginning of the 2016/17 season , Dadashov moved within the league to ZFC Meuselwitz , for whom he scored twelve goals in 33 games.

For the 2017/18 season Dadashov moved again within the league to BFC Dynamo in Berlin . In 25 missions he scored 26 hits.

For the 2018/19 season, Dadashov moved to the third division Prussia Münster . He received a contract with a term until June 30, 2020. On his debut in the third professional league on July 28, 2018 (1st matchday) in the away game at Fortuna Cologne (4: 1), he also scored his first goal. In a year and a half, the attacker completed 55 competitive games for the Adler , in which he scored 20 hits and prepared six, making him one of the most important offensive players on the team.

After Münster had been in a relegation battle since the 10th match day and Dadashov, according to his own statements, “no longer wanted to serve this team”, he switched to the USL Championship at Phoenix Rising during the winter break . On the first day of the striker scored for the franchise from Scottsdale , Arizona three goals in 6: 1 win over the Portland Timbers 2 .

In the national team

Dadashov made his debut under Berti Vogts in the Azerbaijani national team and has so far made 16 international appearances between February 2013 and October 2014 (15 according to other information), in which he scored four goals. Since Vogts was no longer a coach, he has not been nominated for a long time. In October 2018, Dadashov returned to the national team under coach Qurban Qurbanov and played in the UEFA Nations League .
