Tour of the inner harbor of Duisburg
The inner harbor is an urban development project in Duisburg .
In an area of 89 hectares, it encompasses the actual harbor basin and the surrounding buildings, delimited in the east by the A 59 , in the south by the streets: Stresemannstrasse, Philosophenweg, Stapeltor, Springwall, Am alten Wehrgang, Hafenpromenade, Uferstrasse, in the west by the Marientor and in the north through Schifferstrasse, Am Innenhafen and the railway line.
It was developed from 1990 onwards through the master plan of Foster + Partners , London, Kaiser Bautechnik, Duisburg, Landesentwicklungsgesellschaft NRW (LEG) and Düsseldorf / Treuhandstelle GmbH, Essen.
The first expansion stage was initially carried out as part of the International Building Exhibition (IBA) Emscher Park , and in subsequent years through individual orders. Masterplan 2 has existed since 2008, again with the participation of Sir Norman Foster, which also affects downtown Duisburg.
The carrier of the measures is the inner harbor Duisburg Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (IDE) founded in 1993.
Many of the objects belong to the Route of Industrial Culture, Theme Route 1: Duisburg: City and Harbor .
In the list, the buildings, bridges and other construction objects are counted clockwise, starting in the southeast corner of the inner harbor. The numbering does not match the picture on the right (reason: not all objects are listed there).
