Sabine Buxhofer (* 3. July 1979 in Feldkirch as Sabine Kempter ) is an Austrian triathlete and duathlete .

Career

Sabine Buxhofer studied sports science at the University of Salzburg , holds a master's degree and works as a federal police officer.

Ironman Hawaii 2013

She has been active in triathlon since 2007 and in November 2012 she qualified in Mexico for a starting place at the 2013 Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. In May 2013, with her victory in the 30-34 age group at Ironman 70.3 Austria, she also qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Las Vegas. She has been married to triathlete Matthias Buxhofer since June 2013 .

At the European Triathlon Police Championships in Bremen in August 2014, she was the best Austrian and fifth on the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running).

After a maternity break, she has been back in racing since 2017. Sabine Buxhofer starts for the Tri Dornbirn association .
