Sabine Haupt (born September 28, 1966 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German actress and member of the Vienna Burgtheater ensemble .

Education and stage career

Sabine Haupt studied from 1989 to 1993 at the Hanover University of Music and Theater and received her first engagement at the Theater an der Glocksee in Hanover . In 1994 she signed up for three years at the Städtische Bühnen Bielefeld . Because of her portrayal there as Isabella in Shakespeare's Measure for Measure directed by Meinhard Zanger , she came to the Thalia Theater Hamburg in 1997 , where she worked with Jürgen Flimm , Martin Kušej , Peter Mussbach and Sven-Eric Bechtolf , among others .

She has been a member of the Vienna Burgtheater ensemble since the 1999/2000 season. She played and plays in productions by Andrea Breth , Martin Kušej , Stefan Bachmann , Stephan Kimmig , Thomas Ostermeier , Joachim Schlömer , Stephan Müller , Sven-Eric Bechtolf and Falk Richter , among others . In 2004 she made a guest appearance at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and from 2006 to 2008 at the Schauspielhaus Zürich in a production by Matthias Hartmann .
