The Salzburg Hauptbahnhof bus station is an important hub for local public transport in Salzburg . It is located in the Elisabeth suburb at Salzburg's main train station .

history

The station forecourt was completely rebuilt in the course of the local railway relocation by 1996. The city trolleybuses used to stop right in front of the station building , large parts of the Südtiroler Platz were reserved for individual traffic and the local train was banned to the northern end of the square. A lot of space was also given to the bus station for the post and train bus.

The bus station is an important hub of the Salzburg public transport system. Here you can change from the buses to all S-Bahn lines (including local trains S1 and S11). The long-distance transport is also significant. The WESTbahn runs two lines here. The WESTgreen to Wien Westbahnhof and the WESTblue to Wien Praterstern . The railjet sets are on their way to Vienna Airport / Klagenfurt Hbf and the EuroCitys are going to Germany .
