Units of the troops for operational communication
The units of the Bundeswehr Operational Communication Troop are shown below. With the exception of the Bundeswehr Operational Communication Center, these are disbanded units . In the past, the troop category carried the names Troop for Psychological Warfare (PSK), Troop for Psychological Defense (PSV), Telecommunications Troop Operative Information and Troop for Operational Information (OpInfo).
Center for operational communication in the Bundeswehr
The operational communication center is the only remaining active unit of the operational communication troop today.

The Operative Information Center ( ZOpInfo ) was set up on October 1, 2002 in Mayen in the property that was known as Oberst-Hauschild-Kaserne until November 18, 2015 (today: General-Delius-Kaserne). It was dissolved on December 31, 2013. The Bundeswehr Operational Communication Center emerged from it.

The Bundeswehr Academy for Psychological Defense ( AkBwPSV ) was the central training and teaching institution for the military. The academy goes back to the psychological warfare teaching group ( PSK teaching group ) established in 1960 at the Bundeswehr Intelligence School (SNBw) in Bad Ems . On April 1, 1961, she was transferred to Alfter as an independent teaching group , where she moved into the Alfter Castle there . From then on she was subordinate to the Bundeswehramt in terms of service and to the Federal Ministry of Defense .
15 October 1965, the statement was made to the school of the Bundeswehr Psychological Warfare ( PSKSBw ) and the laying of Euskirchen in a former convent of the Franciscan (Münstereifeler Road 96). On July 16, 1970 the name was changed to School of the Bundeswehr for Psychological Defense ( PSVSBw ). In the 1970s, she was subordinate to the armed forces office , in the special field of psychological defense she was subordinate to the command staff of the armed forces in the BMVg. The school was divided into a staff , the evaluation, troop testing and regulations (ATV) group and the teaching group. In April 1982, the civilian scientists and officers in the field of basic research and teaching were combined into a special staff.
In May 1986 the school was relocated to Waldbröl (Schaumburgweg 3) and renamed the Academy of the Federal Armed Forces for Psychological Defense ( AkBwPSV ) in September 1987 . At the end of November 30, 1990, it was dissolved. The Federal Armed Forces Academy for Information and Communication emerged from it.

The Battalion for Operative Information 950 ( OpInfoBtl 950 ) was formally dissolved one month after the ZOpKomBw was set up. It was the last disbanded unit of the Operational Communication Troop.
The battalion was set up in 1962 as Rundfunkbataillon 990 ( RundfunkBtl 990 ) in Diez an der Lahn and relocated to Andernach in the Krahnenberg barracks on November 1, 1962 . In May 1963 the name was changed to Rundfunkbataillon 701 ( RundfunkBtl 701 ), in April 1965 to PSK-SenderBtl 701 ( PSK-SenderBtl 701 ), in January 1970 to PSV-SenderBtl 701 ( PSV-SenderBtl 701 ), in April 1971 to PSV- SenderBtl 1 and 1974 in PSV-Senderbataillon 1 ( PSV-SendeBtl 1 ), 1975 in PSV-Bataillon 1 ( PSVBtl 1 ), on April 1, 1981 in PSV-Bataillon 850 (partly active) - PSVBtl 850 (ta) on October 1 1990 in telecommunications battalion 950 operational information ( FmBtl 950 OpInfo ) and in 1998 in battalion for operational information 950 (OpInfoBtl 950). On July 1, 2002, she was relocated to the Falckenstein barracks in Koblenz . At the end of January 31, 2014, the battalion was disbanded. Personnel and material were generally taken over by the Bundeswehr Operative Communication Center in Mayen .

The PSV-Bataillon 800 (partially active) ( PSVBtl 800 (ta) ) was set up in 1970 as PSV-Bataillon 2 ( PSVBtl 2 ) in Clausthal-Zellerfeld in the Oberharz barracks . The PSV companies 181, 281 and 381 were used for this purpose. The name was changed on April 1, 1981. From 1982, the battalion operated the troop support station Radio Oberharz . On September 30, 1989, the battalion was disbanded.
PSK Company 181
The PSK Company 181 ( PSKKp 181 ) was set up in Rengsdorf in the Westerwald in the former Hotel Rheinhöhe and moved to Borken in February of that year . There it moved into the Hendrik De Wynen barracks before the company was relocated to the Richthofen barracks in Dedelstorf in July 1966 and to the Freiherr von Fritsch barracks in August 1970 to Celle - Scheuen . In autumn 1970 the company was relocated to Clausthal-Zellerfeld . The company was renamed PSV- Firma 181 ( PSVKp 181 ) in 1970 and in the same year went into the newly established PSV-Battalion 2 in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, the later PSV-Battalion 800 (partly active). The company belonged to the corps troops of the 1st Corps in Münster .
PSK Company 281
The PSK Company 281 ( PSKKp 281 ) was also set up in Rengsdorf in the former Hotel Rheinhöhe in 1962 and relocated to the Kienlesberg barracks in Ulm on October 1, 1962 . In 1970 the company was briefly renamed PSV Company 281 ( PSVKp 281 ), relocated to Clausthal-Zellerfeld and incorporated into PSV Battalion 2. The company belonged to the corps troops of the II Corps in Ulm.
PSK Company 381
The PSK Company 381 ( PSKKp 381 ) has been put in Rengsdorf in the former Hotel Rheinhöhe on April 1, 1965 and 1970 for a short time in PSV Company 381 ( PSVKp 381 renamed), moved to Clausthal-Zellerfeld and incorporated there into the PSV Battalion 2 . The company belonged to the corps troops of III. Corps in Koblenz .
PSV Company 600 (equipment unit)
The PSV Company 600 ( Equipment Unit ) ( PSVKp 600 (GerEinh) ) was stationed in the Thorsberg barracks in Süderbrarup in the mobilization base there. The unit was dissolved on September 30, 1989. She was at peace from the Territorial Command Schleswig-Holstein and would be in the case of defense as Corps troops to Headquarters Allied Land Forces Schleswig-Holstein and Jutland been placed under (LANDJUT).
