Scott King (born January 21, 1977 in Saskatoon , Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who last played for the Lausitzer Füchse from the DEL2 . He is the son of Dave King , who trained the Adler Mannheim for a while.
Career
Scott King began his career in 1995 with the Boston University team in the game operations of the US college sports organization NCAA . In the following season 1996/97 he reached 97 points scorer in 68 games of the main round at the Kelowna Rockets in the WHL . The 1997/98 season the center completed almost exclusively with the New Orleans Brass in the East Coast Hockey League , but the last three games of the season he was appointed to the roster of the Fredericton Canadiens from the American Hockey League . When farm team of the Montreal Canadiens King remained the whole next year to 1999/00 Canadians finally went right for three different clubs in three different leagues on the ice: the Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL, the Springfield Falcons of the AHL and the Milwaukee Admirals from the IHL .
The next season at the Charlotte Checkers was Kings last in North America, because the EC Bad Tölz from the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga signed him. With 73 points in 52 games, the DEL clubs became aware of the right-handed shooter, who then signed a contract with the Iserlohn Roosters . During his two years with the Sauerland team, the attacker was the team's top scorer and then switched to the Krefeld Penguins . After only one season, the Canadian was signed by the Augsburger Panther , in which he improved to third place in the DEL scorer ranking despite being 12th in the final table and achieved the best shooting efficiency of all players in the league with almost 19 percent . From the 2006/07 season Scott King was under contract with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers and moved to the Adler Mannheim for the 2009/10 season . In July 2011 he was signed by the Hannover Scorpions and given a contract for the 2011/12 season . On October 16, 2011 King played his 500th DEL game and scored the winning goal for the Hanover Scorpions in the penalty shootout in his anniversary game. For the 2012/13 season , his contract with Lower Saxony was extended for another year. Between October 2013 and the end of the 2014/15 season, King was under contract with the Lausitzer Füchsen .
