Held in 2007
The 9th DEL All-Star Game was played on February 3, 2007 in the SAP Arena in Mannheim . It was the first All-Star Game in which a team of DEL European ice hockey stars competed against a DEL North America All-Star selection.
Skills Competition
Jakub Ficenec from Team Europe was able to show the hardest shot of the All-Stars at 159 km / h. The second competition was fought against each other by Adam Hauser for the North American team and Dimitrij Kotschnew for the European team. In the one-on-one shootout contest , three players each shot a total of 15 times at the opposing goal. Hauser had to reach behind him twice, Kotschnew did not concede a goal and thus prevailed. In the third Puck Control Relay competition , where targeting was important, the European relay team with Alexander Barta , Robert Hock , Tore Vikingstad , Ivan Čiernik and Petr Fical were ahead. The only event with a North American winner was the Speed Competition . Andy Roach ran the fastest time per lap.
The game
Then the game between the all-stars from North America and Europe began. As in every year, the players for the respective teams were nominated in advance by sports journalists and could then be chosen by the ice hockey fans on the DEL homepage. In the game of the two All-Star teams, which were led by Mirko Lüdemann (Team Europe) and Dwayne Norris (Team North America) as captains, the North American team finally defeated the team from Europe with 12:10 goals. For Most Valuable Player of the game were Eduard Lewandowski for Europe and Brad Smyth elected for North America.
After his severe brain surgery in November, Mannheim goalkeeper Robert Müller celebrated his comeback on the ice when he came on for Team Europe in the 42nd minute.
Professional referee Daniel Piechaczek distributed two penalty minutes on both sides.

A special feature was that this year one player from the host team, the Dresdner Eislöwen from the Oberliga , could be selected for the selection. The choice of the Dresden fans fell on the two strikers Petr Sikora (Team Europe) and Kevin Gardner (Team North America), and the Dresden goalkeeper Michal Mařík moved into the European team because of an injury to Dimitrij Kotschnew . With Chris Herperger and Steve Walker , other players canceled their participation.
