Jean-François Jomphe (born December 28, 1972 in Havre-Saint-Pierre , Québec ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who played for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim , Phoenix Coyotes and the Montréal Canadiens in the National Hockey League . In the German Ice Hockey League he was active for the Krefeld Pinguine , Adler Mannheim and ERC Ingolstadt .
Career
The 1.83 m tall striker began his career with the Shawinigan Cataractes and the Sherbrooke Faucons in the Canadian Junior League QMJHL and then played for the San Diego Gulls from the International Hockey League and their farm team , the Greensboro Monarchs in the East Coast Hockey League .
In 1995 the left shooter was hired as a free agent by the Mighty Ducks, for whom he was on the ice until 1998 , but was also repeatedly used in lower-class farm teams. Other NHL stations were the Phoenix Coyotes and the Montreal Canadiens in the 1998/99 season , in which, however, denied only seven missions in the highest North American professional league. For the 1999/00 season Jomphe moved to the DEL to the Krefeld Pinguinen, for which he played for one season and then signed a contract with Adler Mannheim. During the 2002/03 season, the Canadian was not on the ice for personal reasons. In 2002 , he finally moved to ERC Ingolstadt. His career ended Jomphe after the 2004/05 season when EHC Biel in the Swiss National League B .
