During the 2000/01 season Butenschön moved to the Edmonton Oilers , here the defender played seven NHL appearances before he again ran for a farm team, this time the Hamilton Bulldogs . In 2002, the left shooter moved to the New York Islanders , and he spent the 2004/05 lockout season in Germany with Adler Mannheim .
