Duanne Moeser (born April 3, 1963 in Waterloo , Ontario ) is a former German - Canadian ice hockey player who played for the Augsburg Panthers until the 2004/05 season . After his active time, he switched to sports management there. He also works there as an assistant trainer.

Career

Duanne Moeser began his career in 1982 in the North American University League NCAA at Cornell University . Other stations were the Erie Golden Blades in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League , the Flint Spirits from the International Hockey League and New Haven Nighthawks from the American Hockey League . In the summer of 1987 he moved to Germany, where he first played at ERC Sonthofen .

He came to Augsburg for the first time for three years in the 1989/90 season. He later moved to the Eisbären Berlin , briefly to the Kassel Huskies and to Kempten (Allgäu) as well as to the Starbulls Rosenheim , before coming back to Augsburg in 1994 . The striker was active there until the end of his career in 2005 . In his last season he scored the winning goal in the last group game against Iserlohn Roosters , through which "his" Panthers reached the play-offs . After the quarter-final against Berlin, he switched to the management of the Panther and is now active as a sports director.

On August 26, 2005 he celebrated his departure from active competitive sport with a big gala attended by old companions of Moeser. Duanne Moeser stepped in for the early dismissed coach Randy Edmonds in the 2005/06 season and acted as interim coach for two games.

On February 23, 2006, the 43-year-old announced his comeback. He would have worn the shirt number 23, as his legendary number 7 is already hanging under the roof of the Curt Frenzel Stadium and is no longer available. Due to the rescue to 12th place in the final table, intervention by Duanne Moeser was no longer necessary.

Duanne Moeser was inducted into the Hall of Fame Germany in 2006.

Duanne Moeser sponsorship
