Braden Lamb (born August 15, 1988 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Augsburg Panthers in the German Ice Hockey League since July 2014 .

Career

Lamb began his career in the 2005/06 season with the Calgary Royals in the Canadian Junior League Alberta Junior Hockey League and completed a total of three seasons there. Between 2008 and 2012 he was on the ice for the University of Minnesota Duluth's university team in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association , which is part of the NCAA's gaming operations . With the team he was able to win the championship in their own conference in the 2008/09 season before they also secured the NCAA title in the 2010/11 season .

In March 2012, the Canadian signed a one-year contract with the Calgary Flames from the National Hockey League , but was only used with the Abbotsford Heat farm team in the second-rate American Hockey League in the following seasons 2012/13 and 2013/14 . In the summer of 2014 Lamb decided to move to Europe and joined the Augsburg Panthers , for whom the defensive player has played in the German Ice Hockey League since the 2014/15 season . In Augsburg, the right-handed shooter has a contract until 2016. In mid-February 2016, his contract was extended to the end of the 2016/17 season.
