Sean Blakemore (born August 10, 1967 in St. Louis , Missouri ) is an American actor . From 2011 to 2016 he played the role of Shawn Butler in the series General Hospital , for which he received a Daytime Emmy Award in 2016.

life and career

Sean Blakemore comes from St. Louis, where he grew up as the second youngest of seven children with a brother and five sisters. He attended Hazelwood East High School. He gained his first experience with modeling jobs and went to Los Angeles in 1998 to fulfill his dream of working as an actor.
