Selbitz is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Rappottenstein in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 18 building areas with 7,753 m² and 13 gardens on 8,739 m² in the cadastral community Selbitz , in 1989/1990 there were 31 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 54 and in 2009/2010 there were 33 buildings on 56 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 122 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 95 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 110 hectares and 106 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 106 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 106 hectares. The average soil climate number of Selbitz is 20.1 (as of 2010).
