The Freiburg-Schönberg transmitter is a basic network transmitter of the Südwestrundfunk (formerly the Südwestfunk ). It is located on the Schönberg , a 645-meter-high mountain, in the district of the municipality of Ebringen , southwest of Freiburg im Breisgau . Until March 2013, a free-standing, 40-meter-high tubular mast served as the antenna carrier. This was replaced by a 58 meter high steel lattice mast.

This station used to broadcast analog television programs for Freiburg and the surrounding area. TV broadcasting ceased when DVB-T was introduced in 2007, but resumed with the introduction of DVB-T2 on November 8, 2017.
