The schöckl transmitter is a radio - transmitter ORS Austrian Broadcasting Services GmbH for FM and TV on the mountain Schöckl in Styria .

The internal name is GRAZ1 .

A 100 meter high steel tower, which was erected in 1956, is used as the antenna carrier and transmission tower . The transmission tower is clearly visible from many points in Graz when looking north.

The Schöckl transmitter covers the whole of southern Styria and southern Burgenland. It can also be received in many parts of Carinthia, Slovenia (in the area around Marburg / Maribor), Lower Austria, Burgenland and the Czech Republic. The Schöckl station also supplies around 30 percent of western Hungary.

Digital radio ( DAB + )

The Austrian Federal Mux has been broadcast on channel 8A since May 28, 2019. DAB is broadcast in vertical polarization in the same wave mode with other transmitters.

Digital television (DVB-T)

Since October 26, 2006, the national DVB-T multiplex has been broadcast on television on the Schöckl station . The analogue programs were switched off on September 24, 2007, and Multiplex B was switched on at the same time.
