Sengkurong ( Malay Mukim Sengkurong ) is a Mukim ( sub- district) of the Daerah Brunei-Muara in Brunei . The district is headed by a penghulu . The incumbent is Haji Musa bin Haji Tahir .
geography
The Mukim is located in the west of the Brunei-Muara district and borders the South China Sea in the north . It is limited by the Mukim Gadong A in the east, Kilanas in the southeast, Pengkalan Batu in the south and the Mukim Keriam in the Tutong district in the west. There are numerous “land extensions” ( land reclamation projects ) off the coast of Sengkurong . The most noticeable of these man-made headlands are located near the Empire Hotel & Country Club and at Pantai Jerudong . To the east, the forest area around the Bukit Shahbandar Forest Recreation Park borders the Mukim. One of the larger lakes of Brunei is located in Sengkurong B.
