Telisai ( Malay Mukim Telisai ) is a Mukim (sub-district) of the Daerah Tutong in Brunei . The mukim is guided by a penghulu . The incumbent is Ramli bin Lahit .

geography

The Mukim is located in the west of the district, directly on the coast of the South China Sea in the north and borders the Mukim Pekan Tutong in the northeast, Tanjong Maya in the east, Ukong in the southeast, Bukit Sawat in the south and Liang in the Belait district in the southwest. The Andulau Forest Preserve connects to the south . Significant rivers in the Mukim are Sungai Danau , Sungai Pepakan , Sungai Dalai , Sungai Telamba , Sungai Ukong , Sungai Jeraya and others that meander through the coastal plains. Part of the area is also being greatly changed by landfills and social housing projects.

The Mukim is divided into villages (Kampong):

Despite this classification, only three villages are included in the Tutong District Office , namely Bukit Beruang, Danau and Telisai. These villages have their own village chief (ketua kampung). Keramut, Penapar Danau, Sungai Paku, Telamba and Tumpuan Ugas do not have their own Ketua Kampung, so those from Danau and Telisai are also responsible for them. Binchaya, Bukit Pasir, Pengkalan Dalai and Penyatang are unpopulated.

education

There are two schools in Telisai: Sekolah Rendah Tumpuan Telisai (Tumpuan Telisai Primary School) and the Muslim religious school Sekolah Ugama Tumpuan Telisai (Tumpuan Telisai Religious School).

The Pusat Kesihatan Telisai (Telisai Health Center) offers the inhabitants medical services.

The Masjid Kampong Telisai (Kampong Telisai Mosque) serves the Muslims for Friday prayers (Jumu'ah). The mosque was built in 1984 and has room for 350 people.

Attractions

Telisai has Taman Rekreasi Tumpuan Telisai (Tumpuan Telisai Recreational Park) on the beach. There is also a Forest Recreation Park. Notable tree species in the forests are penaga loud ( Calophyllum inophyllum ), ketapang catappen tree (Terminalia catappa), kulimpapa ( Vitex pubescens ).
