Kota Batu ( Malay Mukim Kota Batu ) is a Mukim (sub-district) of the Daerah Brunei-Muara in Brunei .
geography
The Mukim is located in the southeastern part of the Brunei-Muara district and borders the Mukim Mentiri in the north, Lumapas in the south and west, Kianggeh and the Mukim des Kampong Ayer in the west, as well as Brunei Bay in the east and Pulau Limpaku Pinang in the Limbang district in Sarawak , Malaysia , in the east.
Kota Batu stretches for the most part on the north bank of the Brunei River, which also divides the island of Pulau Berambang . The Brunei flows from the capital district in the southwest to Brunei Bay in the northeast. Originally, Pulau Berambang was also part of the Mukim Kota Batu. Other islands in Brunei Bay that belong to the Mukim are Pulau Sibungor , Pulau Berbunut , Pulau Baru-Baru , Pulau Chermin , Pulau Kaingaran and Pulau Pepatan .
The Muzium Maritim Brunei Darussalam (Brunei Darussalam Maritime Museum), the Muzium Teknologi Melayu (Malay Technology Museum), the mausoleum of Sultan Bolkiah (Makam Sultan Bolkiah), the Brunei Museum and an archaeological park (Taman Arkeologi Kota ) are located in the Mukim area Batu, Kota Batu Archaeological Park).
