Gadong 'A ( Malay Mukim Gadong' A ) is a Mukim (sub-district) of the Daerah Brunei-Muara in Brunei .

geography

The sub-district was not split up until 2007. Gadong B 'is the southern part of the former Mukim, which has grown into an independent part due to strong population growth. Otherwise the Gadong A 'borders on the Mukim Berakas A in the east, Gadong B in the south and Sengkurong in the west. The South China Sea borders the Mukim to the north . Several artificial land structures on the coast based on the model of the artificial islands in Dubai are striking . In the area lies the University of Brunei Darussalam (Universiti Brunei Darussalam) and in the east borders the protected area Hutan Simpan Berakas (Berakas Forest Reserve) in Mukim Berakas A.

The Mukim still belongs to the capital district.
