Sigrid Mutscheller (* 12. February 1976 in Hauzenberg as Sigrid Lang ) is a German triathlete and the most successful Wintertriathletin the world.
Career
Sigrid Mutscheller is six-time world champion in winter triathlon (running, mountain biking and cross-country skiing) and she starts for the multisportsnetwork team from Aidlingen . She is a grammar school teacher for sport and German and currently teaches German at the Isny Science and Technology Academy .
From 1993 to 1996 she was a member of the youth and junior national team in cross-country skiing (C-team). After that she was a member of the women's national team in cross-country skiing until 1997. She won the silver medal at the 1996 Junior World Championships with the German cross-country relay.
National winter triathlon team since 1998
She has been on the national winter triathlon team since 1998. In addition to her successes in the winter triathlon, she can also boast successes in triathlon , cross-triathlon and duathlon .
In cross-country skiing, she won the Koasalauf over 50 km freestyle in 2010 and 2017 , in 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2018 at the König-Ludwig-Lauf over 50 km freestyle and in 2017 and 2018 the Ganghoferlauf over 40 km freestyle.
Triathlon since 2011
In October 2015, the then 39-year-old competed in the Ironman Hawaii (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).
