Simon Sutour

Simon Sutour (born August 18, 1952 in Sète ) is a French politician. He has been a member of the Senate since 1998 .

Sutour had lived in Nîmes since childhood and was a professional administrator. Among other things, he worked for the General Council of the Gard department before he entered the Senate in 1998 for the Parti socialiste . In 2008 he was re-elected. He was temporarily secretary to the Senate. Since 2011 he has been President of the Commission for European Affairs.
