Georges Benedetti (born July 29, 1930 in Antisanti on Corsica , † November 19, 2018 in Bastia ) was a French politician . He was a member of the National Assembly from 1981 to 1986 and from 1988 to 1993 and a member of the Senate from 1986 to 1988 .

Benedetti was a full-time doctor. He was a member of the Parti socialiste and mayor of Bagnols-sur-Cèze . In 1981 he entered the National Assembly for the Socialists. In 1986 he replaced the late Edgar Tailhades as Senator for the Gard department . In the Senate he was a member of the Commission for Social Affairs. After two years in the Senate, he was re-elected to the National Assembly. Benedetti retired to Corsica again.

He died there in November 2018 at the age of 88.
