Louis-Edmond Claris

Louis-Edmond Claris (born March 17, 1825 in Alès , † September 1, 1914 ) was a French politician. He was a member of the Senate from 1885 to 1894 .

Claris attended the École polytechnique and then went to the naval artillery . After several years of service, he resigned and withdrew to his home in his home country. During the Franco-Prussian War he was responsible for mobilization in the Gard department. In 1885 he ran successfully in the Senate elections, but was not re-elected in 1894. He then withdrew from politics and died in an unknown location in 1914.
