Louis Laget

Jacques Louis Laget (born September 20, 1821 in Meyrueis , † November 28, 1882 in Nîmes ) was a French politician. He was a member of the National Assembly from 1871 to 1876 and a member of the Senate from 1876 to 1882 .

Laget was admitted to the bar in Nîmes in 1847. Only a year later he was appointed sub-prefect in Uzès . In 1865 he became a member of the General Council of the Gard department . In a by-election in 1871, he entered parliament, where he joined the moderate left. In the following year a new election was necessary, which he could win again. In 1876, Laget successfully ran for the Senate. He died in 1882 while in office.
