history

Borgen (1975-1991)

The ship was ordered on May 7, 1973 from Aalborg Værft in Aalborg . The launching of the ship took place on 17 December 1974. On 23 June 1975, the ship of the Fred. Olsen Line handed over and christened on June 25th in Kristiansand by Wencke Myhre . The ship started sailing under the Norwegian flag with home port Kristiansand.

From June 26th the ship operated between Hirtshals and Kristiansand. From October 1975 to May 1976 it was used between Kristiansand, Stavanger and Newcastle upon Tyne .

At the beginning of 1982 the ship was extended on the Aalborg Værft and from April 25th it was used again between Hirtshals and Kristiansand. In March 1990 the ship represented the Bolero on the route from Hirtshals via Stavanger to Bergen .

Skagen (1991-2005)

On December 15, 1990, the ship went to the Color Line , home port was Oslo . In January 1991 it was renamed Skagen .

At the beginning of 1992, the ship was rebuilt at Cityverken in Gothenburg . In the 1990s it served the Norwegian ports of Moss , Kristiansand and Larvik from Hirtshals .

In January 2001 the ship was converted into a pure cargo ferry in Frederikshavn and then used first between Larvik and Frederikshavn and later again between Hirtshals and Kristiansand. In March 2004 it was launched in Sandefjord . From June 18 to August 18 it was used again between Kristianssand and Hirtshals and then launched again in Sandefjord.

Fedra (2005)

In April 2005 the ship was finally sold to the Bouda Marine Company, part of the Egyptian El Salam Shipping, and handed over to the new owner in May. The ship was renamed Fedra . She sailed the Panamanian flag on May 19, 2005, the ship left Sandefjord.

Shehrazade (2005-2011)

On October 31, 2005, the ship was sold to the Arab Bridge Maritime Company and renamed Shehrazade . Home port was Aqaba in Jordan .

Shehrazad (2011)

In August 2011 it was finally sold to Indian dropouts and transferred to India under the flag of Tuvalu under the new name Shehrazad . In September 2011 the ship reached Alang for demolition .
