Skrzynka (German Heinzendorf ) is a village in the powiat Kłodzki in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland. It belongs to the urban and rural community Lądek-Zdrój ( Bad Landeck ) and is located 13 kilometers southeast of the district town of Kłodzko .

geography

Skrzynka is located in the east of the Glatzer Kessel in the western foothills of the Reichensteiner Mountains . Neighboring towns are Droszków in the north, Radochów in the southeast, Trzebieszowice in the south, Ołdrzychowice Kłodzkie in the southwest and Rogówek in the northwest. To the east rises the 697 m high Schalasterkoppe ( Bzowiec ).

history

Skrzynka was first mentioned in writing in 1353 as Heynczindorf and has been a pastor since 1384. It belonged to the Glatzer Land , with which it shared the history of its political and ecclesiastical affiliation. At the end of the 16th century, Heinzendorf passed to the Counts of Valais , who linked it with their rule of Kunzendorf.

St. Bartholomew Church

After the Silesian Wars , Heinzendorf and the County of Glatz fell to Prussia in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg . In 1783 Stephan Olivier von Wallis sold Heinzendorf together with his other estates in the County of Glatz to Friedrich Wilhelm Graf von Schlabrendorf on Hassitz und Stolz. After the reorganization of Prussia, Heinzendorf belonged to the province of Silesia from 1815 and was initially incorporated into the district of Glatz . In 1818 it was reorganized into the newly formed district of Habelschwerdt , to which it belonged until 1945. In 1939 there were 582 inhabitants.

As a result of the Second World War , Heinzendorf fell to Poland in 1945, like almost all of Silesia, and was renamed Skrzynka . The German population was expelled . Some of the new residents were displaced from eastern Poland . From 1975 to 1998 Skrzynka belonged to the Wałbrzych Voivodeship (Waldenburg).

Attractions

  • The former parish church of St. Bartholomew ( Kośćiół Św. Bartłomieja ) is now a branch church of Trzebieszowice ( Kunzendorf ). It was built before 1591 on the site of a Gothic church and served as a Protestant church from 1571 to 1623. The tower with onion dome dates from the 1st half of the 18th century. The main altar with figures of St. Mary and other saints from around 1650 is painted in color. There is a two-storey patronage box by the choir.
