Sohbatpur District is an administrative district in Pakistan in Balochistan Province . The seat of the district administration is the city of Sohbatpur .
The district has an area of 1412 km² and according to the 2017 census 200,538 inhabitants. The population density is 142 inhabitants / km².
geography
The district is located to the east of the Balochistan Province, which is located in the west of Pakistan and borders the much more populous Sindh Province .
history
The district was created in 2013 from parts of Jafarabad .

Demographics
Between 1998 and 2017 the population grew by 1.85% annually. Around 6% of the population live in urban regions and around 94% in rural regions. 103,142 men and 97,396 women live in 30,523 households, which results in a gender ratio of 105.9 men per 100 women and thus a common surplus of men for Pakistan.
