The Church of St. Eustachius and St. Agathe is the Protestant church of the Magdeburg district of Diesdorf and is over 650 years old in its origins.

The church building is divided into the rectangular nave, built as a hall building in Romanesque style, the square sacristy extension on the north wall, the portal hall in the south and the transverse rectangular west tower with its 1.35 meter thick walls. The tower and ship were built from rubble stones.

The oldest parts of the building are the nave and the basement of the tower, which were built around 1350. At the end of the 14th century, the sacristy was added, which was equipped with a ribbed vault . The southern porch is believed to be from the end of the 15th century. In 1610 the church tower received a tower clock for the first time. In the years 1692 to 1697 the church underwent an extensive renovation, during which a three-sided choir was added to the nave in the east . After the church tower was significantly damaged by broken loopholes ( fortified church ) during the Napoleonic occupation, a square bell-shaped storey with an octagonal pointed helmet was added to the tower as part of the repair work around 1830. In addition, the tower was decorated with a Romanesque frieze made of red sandstone and a large rose window.

The interior of the nave has a flat wooden beam ceiling. The horseshoe gallery dates back to the renovation at the end of the 17th century. On the west gallery stands the organ with its baroque organ front , built in 1723 by Christoph Treutmann . An altarpiece in the style of Protestant iconography belongs to the early baroque pulpit altar , also made of rubble stones, which is attributed to the painter Johann Georg Aberkunk , who also left works in the Egeln town church and the Niederndodeleben church . In the 19th century the church building was home to the Walbeck bell , one of the oldest preserved bells in Germany. Unusual for the time, colored glass windows were installed in the choir and vestibule in 1946, showing, among other things, the two namesake of the Diesdorf church, St. Eustachius and St. Agathe .
