Stanislaw Raissowitsch Galimow ( Russian Станислав Раисович Галимов ; born February 12, 1988 in Chelyabinsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with Dinamo Riga from the Continental Hockey League (KHL) since August 2020 .
Career
Stanislaw Galimow began his career as a hockey player in the youth of the HK tractor Chelyabinsk , for whose second team he was active from 2003 to 2006 in the third-rate Pervaya League . The goalkeeper then played for Neftjanik Almetyevsk in the second Russian division for two years . In the summer of 2008 he moved to Ak Bars Kazan in the newly founded Continental Hockey League , with which he was first Russian champion in the 2008/09 season .
After Ak Bars Kazan relied mainly on Finnish goalkeepers, Galimow moved to Atlant Moskovskaya Oblast in June 2012 , while Kazan signed their goalkeeper Konstantin Barulin . At Atlant Galimow was the first goalkeeper for the next two years and impressed with excellent statistical values, especially in the regular season. In May 2014 Galimov moved to HK CSKA Moscow for a transfer fee of 100 million rubles and was one of the KHL's best goalkeepers in the 2014/15 season. Therefore, he was nominated for the KHL All-Star Game 2015 and awarded Goalkeeper of the Month for September 2014 . During the following season he was given up against the transfer rights to Kirill Petrov to Ak Bars Kazan.
At AK Bars Kazan he was second goalkeeper behind Emil Garipow in the 2016/17 season and was used in 24 games. In May 2017 he was signed by Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod and completed two seasons there. Two years later, in May 2019, he and two other torpedo players were signed by HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , for whom he played nine KHL games. At the end of November 2019 he was put on the waiver list and signed a few days later to his youth club, Traktor Chelyabinsk.
