Stephan Reichenberger (born June 24, 1957 in Bayreuth ) is a German television writer, format developer and creative producer .

Life

Reichenberger began his professional career as a newspaper and radio editor and as a television dramaturge. In the 1990s he developed television formats, some of which still exist today, for public broadcasters . a. 1996/97 for Nina Ruge the celebrity magazine People Today ( ZDF ), 1993 and 1997 for Bodo H. Hauser and Ulrich Kienzle the political-satirical moderation format for Frontal (ZDF) and "Die Meinungsmacher", 1993 for Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt the satirical talk show Anyway ( ARD ), 1992 also for Meyer-Burckhardt the first cross media business show How Much? As a producing author and director or co-director, Reichenberger realized documentaries and documentary shows, including the anniversary event “70 Years of the Salzburg Festival ” ( ORF , 1991) at Schloss Leopoldskron , as well as biographical programs about Wolfgang Rademann , Peter Alexander and Joachim Fuchsberger and Marcel Reich-Ranicki . Film and satire

Screenplays wrote Reichenberger u. a. for the TV series Pfarrer Braun (several crime comedies with co-author Cornelia Willinger).

In 2010 Reichenberger u. a. with Bruno Jonas for Bavarian TV the satirical show Klugscheißer.

The homeland film Die Posthalter-Christl (Reichenberger / Willinger based on a novel by Hans Ernst ) was shot as an HD pilot project entirely on original motifs in the Alps. In addition to well-known Bavarian folk actors, numerous amateur actors from the traditional Volkstheater Flintsbach participated in the production, which Reichenberger also oversaw as a co-producer ( Bavaria Film , Moviepool) .

In 2004, Reichenberger created the cinema remix Raumpatrouille Orion - Fall back into the cinema from episodes of the television series Raumpatrouille from 1966 . The composer Peter Thomas contributed original versions of his stereo soundtracks - then only broadcast in mono and still covered and sampled worldwide today - which enabled the famous film music to be remastered in a complex way. The cinema version has since been used at festivals and on television. The European Film Philharmonic performed the new soundtrack several times as part of science fiction concerts live on screen projection.

On behalf of the theater festival Steirischer Herbst , Reichenberger wrote the media-critical comedy Sonyboys with the satirist Jörg Metes , which premiered in 1998 under Reichenberger's direction in Graz and was broadcast by ORF / 3sat . Synopsis: Two retired magazine presenters from public television hire a small private broadcaster that misuses their good names for cheaply produced fake news .

Other projects

After spending several years abroad in New York City and London , Reichenberger revised and supervised the gala events of the German Film Award from 1999 to 2005 as artistic director and developed the new award statuette Lola together with the New York artist Mechthild Schmidt .

On behalf of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the EU Commission , Reichenberger produced the internationally broadcast Eurovision show on the eastward expansion of the European Union in 2004 , the highlight of which was the fireworks in Malta staged by the light artist Gert Hof in the port of Valletta .

For the health concern Fresenius (company) Reichenberger realized four short image films as director for the 100th company anniversary, which were shot within a few weeks in Germany, Ghana, Australia and China and described impressive patient fates.
