The voiced palatal implosive is a voiced closure sound formed by contact between the tongue and the palate ( palatal ) , which is spoken with an inward airflow ( implosive ). Its sign in the IPA phonetic spelling is [ʄ] , a j without a point and a hook indicating the implosive. The character is to be distinguished from the very similar ƒ (Unicode U + 0192).
